Ready for iPhone Duo

Two screens. One app.

SeisMeteo on a closed iPhone Duo: a station's seismogram in the Classic view, in rows like a drum seismograph, with the app's tabs in a column on the right

On the outer display the tabs sit in a column on the right, next to the camera, leaving the full height for your data.

On the inner display the app uses the extra room: the drum-style seismogram gets wider.

Open it or close it: you stay on the same station, right where you left off.

Available from 23 October for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad.

What's in the app

Sky and ground, in one app.

Public data from scientific institutes and weather services, all in one place.

Seismograms

See how the ground recorded an earthquake.

More than 180 public seismic stations around the world. If a quake has one within the radius you choose (500 km by default), tap to open the nearest station's trace from the quake, centered on the time of the shaking. The Classic view lays it out in rows, like a drum seismograph.

Earthquakes

Three sources, one list.

USGS, EMSC and INGV merged, with a map, filters and your distance from each event.

Weather

Milan, partly cloudy

Hourly and 7-day forecasts from MET Norway, for your location and up to 5 cities.

Alerts

Official, for where you are.

Apple Weather where available, plus the Italian Civil Protection Department for municipalities in Italy.

Widgets and notifications

The quakes you care about, at a glance.

Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen. Optional notifications, filtered by magnitude and distance.

SeisMeteo is an information app, not a warning system: notifications rely on a periodic check by iOS.
